Stag Beetle Ring
Made by Audrey Laine of Asheville, NC.
Stag beetles are named for their large mandibles, resembling the antlers of a stag. This one is most likely a "Lesser Stag Beetle", because its size is a bit smaller than most species.
This piece is cast in sterling silver using an actual stag beetle Laine found in eastern Tennessee to make the mold. Open style ring band is slightly adjustable (size 5-8).
The beetle measures 1 3/4" by 3/4" by 1/2".
